Methodology

How we score

Roundup sites rank whatever pays best. We score on the same rubric every time and tell you exactly what goes into it, so you can trust the order.

The Fit Score

Every product gets a 0–10 score in five categories. The overall Fit Score is the average.

Comfort
Seat, grip, padding, and ride quality, how it feels over a long day, not just a quick test in a room.
Stability
How steady and secure it feels: frame, wheelbase, brakes, and support relative to the user's needs.
Portability
Weight, whether and how it folds or disassembles, and how easy it is to transport or stow.
Ease of use
Steering and maneuverability, controls, adjustments, transfers, and day-to-day fuss.
Value
What you get for the price, including build quality, warranty, and accessories.

How we keep it honest

About our scores: our Fit Scores are editorial estimates built from each product's documented specs, design, and reputation, not hands-on lab tests. We say so plainly rather than claim testing we haven't done. Always follow your clinician's or physical therapist's guidance for your specific needs. See our disclosure.
